Vugen replay error Error -205177: SyntaxError: JSON.parse for TruClient script

Upgraded from LR12.02 to LR12.5.  A TruClient script that was working prior to the upgrade shows this error during load test mode replay:

TruClient Replay for LoadRunner 12.50.0, build 1096. OS: Windows 2008 R2, Browser: Firefox, initialized on 2015/11/11 at 15:43:16 (0000.000s)

The script continues to run, but I am concerned about this message.  No idea where this is coming from or why.  Is it because LR12.02 used a different TruClient protocol version?  Is it associated with the script itself (e.g. config)?

Performance Center - bandwidth simulation

Hi all, could you please help me with this question:

We use Performance Center in order to simulate bandwidth of 100 MBytes ( indeed we have 1 GB).

So we go to Runtime Settings > Speed Simulation and use the following: 838860800 (bits in 100 MBytes) / number of Vusers in scenario. First of all, is it correct?

We suppose to see reponse time higher than usual and network utilization less than usual.  It's true about response time, but we are not sure about accurate limitation of bandwidth - if we go to one of our load generators, the graph of Network Utilization seems to be the same for different bandwidth defenitions.

In other hand, our load generators are virtual (VMWare), so Network Utilization may be shown incorrect.  Please recommend how can we check the bandwidth changing (or how can the bandwidth on virtual load generators can be limited)

Thank you!

Yuliya

P.S. Unfortunatelly, we have no Shunra's network virtualization.

Recording SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 with 'BI launch pad'?

I am having the following challenge when trying to record SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP4 (with BI launch pad).

When using HTTP protocol first steps are recorded OK.
However when a report is launched in a browser:
1) New jp2launcher.exe process appears in Task Manager.
   (Is this Oracle Java Web Start launching a Java applet in a browser?)
2) This jp2launcher.exe is doing something useful because it consumes CPU cycles.
3) Nothing is recorded in VuGen after this point until logoff.

Do you have updated recommendations specifically for BusinessObjects BI 4.1 by any chance?

Are recommendations in KM169714, KM185190 and KM11878 still valid and should be followed?

For example, one of the recommendations is "install VuGen preferably in a path without spaces".
My VuGen is currently installed in "C:\Program Files\HP\Virtual User Generator\bin" folder.
Does it mean that I need to reinstall my VuGen?

Currently I use VuGen 12.50 Build 1096 on 64 bit Windows 7 with IE11 browser.

I see "Recording in 32-bit mode: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\jp2launcher.exe" message in a recording log, but it doesn't look that this recording has captured anything.

Error: "File error : LoadLibrary failed : The specified module could not be found."

While using the lr_load_dll function, the following error happens:

Action1.c(x): Error -19890 : C-interpreter run time error:
Action1.c(x): Error -- File error : LoadLibrary(c:\temp\MyDll.dll) failed : The specified module could not be found.

You will get the error above if the compiler fails to locate or load the DLL. You can check the return code of lr_load_dll to verify if this is the case.

Example:
int x;
x = lr_load_dll("cfgamp16");
lr_message("return code = %d", x);

If the function above returns 11, that means LoadRunner failed to find the file. Check the following:
1. Double check the directory, and make sure that the DLL is in the correct path as specified in lr_load_dll function.
2. Make sure that all the required files are present and available to the DLL.
You can use the Windows Dependency Walker
 to check if any dependent DLL's are not available.
3. Is your DLL an 8-bit or 16-bit DLL? If so, it is not supported.
4. If you are getting this error from the Controller only:

  1. If you are loading the DLL from a specific directory, make sure that you copy the DLL to the same directory of all the Load Generator machines.
  2. If you are loading the DLL from the script's directory, make sure that the DLL is listed in the Controller's Design View -> Details -> More -> Files.
  3. If you are still having problems, try to put your DLL into a path that is specified in the PATH environment variable of the machine. Modify the reference to the DLL if needed.

Oracle Forms Java applet not launched during replaying

Hello,

Hope you can help me.

I've recorded a script using Loadrunner 12.02 and HTTPS+Oracle NCA Protocols. Previously the administators allowed me to record object names, so at this point that is not a problem (I think).

The issue is that when I replay the script the java applet login is not launched. An error is returnet when I try to perform an action against an object on this non-loaded applet: Window or object is disabled

- While recording no similar issues have been detected.

- I've used "nca_get_top_window" to see which is the active windows and it returns null.

- I don't know if this is important, but no "ICX Ticket" is recorded in the responses (while recording, of course).

- I've correlated "jsessionId" (I don't know if it matters).

- No pop-up is launched (at least I haven't see it in the extended replay log)

Can you help me, please?

Best Regards.

Hi,

I have few scripts created in Truclient Web Protocol as my application uses Java script for uploading documents to S3.

I have created the scripts and it working as expected in Vugen replay for multiple iterations.

For couple of scripts, If I include them in LR controller scenario, one of the script not even getting execution and the other one is showing parameter data errror "Type LR.getParam('UserName') in User name textbox ** failed - target object was not found"

Both the scripts are running fine in Vugen for various data and multiple iterations.

Please someone help me on this.

Regards,

Skumarasamy

Hello All,

Im facing below issue for one of the project.

Error -27744 : Internal Error - connection to "application_name.com" is closed in state STATE_Done
Error -26624: HTTP Status-Code= 407( Proxy Authentication Required) for "https://application_name.com/"

i used web_set_user("DomainName\\UserName", "YoursecretPassword", "YourhostName:PortNumber");

different proxy setting in Runtime setting but still problem didn't solved.

When i run on vugen i don't see any issues from the script but when i start load test immediately after initilization of vuser it starts throwing above errors.

Note: Load generators are on the same LAN.

i used below functions to investigate, but no luck

web_set_sockets_option("INITIAL_BASIC_AUTH","1");
web_set_sockets_option("PROXY_INITIAL_BASIC_AUTH","1");
web_set_sockets_option("PROXY_INITIAL_BASIC_AUTH","0");

Can anyone please throw some light whats wrong from my side.

Thanks in advance.

Sai

Loging out existing session in server

We are creating 4000 user session using 50 Vusers. Currently,One Vuser will log in multiple times with out logging out. For example, a Vuser will do first login with a User id from available pool of Ids and in next iteration it will take another unique user id from rest of the pool . So after running full iterations there will be 4000 unique user sessions in the server.

What we required is to log out these 4000 users one by one, once 4000 session logins are achieved . Is there any way we can achieve this?

Recording Java Standalone EJB application

Hi Team,

I have LoadRunner 12.01 installed in my Windows7 machine of 64-bit also installed JDK 1.6(32-bit).

I have to record the application by invoking a .bat file. Hence I used Java record-replay protocol as all other java based protocols are giving 'Unable to determine the bit capacity' error when given .bat file to record. But the problem is I am able to launch the appication using Java record-replay protocol but nothing is getting recorded by Vugen when I am tring to log in and do some operations in application. Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue?

Also when I replay the script as it is even though nothing is recorded I am getting below errors

LoadRunner 11.52 Service Pack Release supports jdk 1.7 and we are using 11.52 version for running Java vuser scripts.

Now our project is started using jdk1.8 and so we have a requirement to use jdk8 for java vuser scripting.Since version 11.52 does not jdk 1.8 ,Is there any patch available for Loadrunner 11.52 to support jdk 1.8  (or) Would like to know whether upgrading to Loadrunner 12.5 latest version supports jdk1.8 ?

This is urgent to know.would someone throw light here?

Getting an error “Request execution is failed due to Missing or invalid X-CSRF Token

Hello All,

We are using SAP HANA application with http web protocol. We have simple script where we are not able to go ahead. Below is the application flow.

1. Launching the application
2. Enter the login credentials
3. Click Login button

Above 3 steps we have recorded and replayed the script, but we are getting an error “Request execution is failed due to Missing or invalid X-CSRF Token”.
We have checked in our script, but we don’t find any CSRF token value in our script. We identified this CSRF token has been passing in Headers.
Than we have added “web_add_header ("CSRFToken”, <generated value>"); but issue still persists.

Please help us to handle this error.
