I am trying to record Java Standalone application.
I tried to record with Java over http protocop(Events not generated when the main java page launched).
I tried with Java record and replay, after submitting the login credentials (gettting message Error, But no detailed message about the error).
I tried with winsock protocol, able to record, but it is running very slow to complete 1 iteration. Is winsock recommend for executing java application. Please suggest.

We are trying to record an application from citrix store front portal in LR with multiprotocol (Citrix+Web).we able to record the web part but we are unable to capture the Citrix traffic.
We tried disabling DEP and DesktopTool bar,Windowsize=No preference. and compatability versions of LR and citrix client (LR 12,Citrix client=14.1)
Please suggest if we missed any settings .

After 14 hours that test was running in the logn term, the controller froze one I tried to open the errors window.
I can see that the test is running, but controller continue froze for more than 1 hour.
Im using Load Runner 12.51 which is running on server with Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit.
See print screen.
Please advise what can be done to release it without loosing the test.

I am evaluating LoadRunner 12.53. I am using the WebServices Protocol with WCF-Custom Binding and TCP transport. While setting the 'WS-Addressing' version to 'WSA 1.0', the config is not getting updated whereas the option 'WSA 04/08' does update it. Among the three options available for WS-Addressing version, both 'None' and 'WSA 1.0' are assumed to be 'None'. While running the script, I am getting an error that WS addressing None not supported even if my selection is WSA 1.0. I tried to supply the method call to exclude WS headers with no change in the error. The workaround is to set the 'addressingVersion' explicitly to get the web request to be submitted without errors.
Can this be fixed? Though I found the workaround, It will be good to get this automatically set as it reduces the effort needed to set the attribute explicitly for all the test scenarios.

I have installed VuGen 12.53 ona windows 7 (32-bit) machine. This machine has IE 11 installed.
Launched VuGen and started creating a new script using Truclient IE.
As soon as i hit the develop script button i get "The Truclient IE browser could not be launched. Veri fy that Internet Explorer 9.10.11 is installed on your machine".

I have a question concerning parametrisation in the TrueClient, I think an easy one.
The goal is to logon to the system using the test users, say TEST1 to TEST500 when I have the certificates of those in a hand. With the http protocol it was quite easy: parametrising the UserID, pointing in the script to the corresponding certificate, logging on.
In the TrueClient I have difficulties with this. E.g. in the FF, I can upload several certificates into the TrueClient browser, but I would not know how to force the scenario to use them distincively when runnig 500 users in parallel (Unique, Once).
I tried to ask HP support for that (case 5308889305), but got negative respone that parametrization of the certificates in the TrueClient is not possible. I got pointed to the KM1313445 document, however for my taste it describes other issue. Therefore I would like to verify this on this forum.

Have suddenly started getting this error when I try to open a 1 user scenario in controller for Community 12.53.
It was working ok yesterday . I have recently started using remote desktop to hit the box with community on it. Anyone know what to do?

I have developed a script in version 12.02 Truclient-IE. But to use the same script in Truclient Web-IE version 12.53, have to convert it. I converted the script and then I replay the script.
But found one error: "Failed to get transaction identifiers for 'Tr_communication' from NV transaction manager. Reason: 'Invalid input. Request cannot be null'.
What this error means? And how to fix it?

Its possible to set the timeout with decimal precision e.g 2.5s ?
When i Tried to make timeouts in my script

I have error:

Not sure if there is a setting or limitation I am missing, but we are noticing that when we have multiple requests between a web_concurrentStart and web_concurrentEnd, the snapshot viewer appears to show request/response information for the last call in the group rather than the one we actually select. For example, we have request 1 and request 2 in the same concurrent group, I select request 1 and view the replay snapshot, and it incorrectly shows me the content for request 2.
If we disable the concurrent group and just make these requests sequentially, we get the correct request/response information for both in the snapshot viewer.
Is there any way to get the correct snapshot to load when calls are in a concurrent group?

I am trying to run a load test on 12.02 version of controller and have 4 LG's connected to distribute the load across evenly.
The issue I am facing is that when I start the test, after few transactions(say login to website) users start failing with below error:
"Abnormal termination, caused by mdrv process termination."
"Error: The remote host's status is 'Failed'. Check the remote host machine [and verify that it has not crashed]. [MsgId: MERR-29722]"
This doesn't happen at same point for each run. I checked if for some reason LG connection was lost, but I don't see any issue there. Checked CPU/Memory on LG as well and no issue there as well.
Same load from other set of scripts works fine.
Anyone faced this issue?

I have installed Loadrunner 11.5 and IE8. I recorded the webtours script when i finished recoring the script is not showing any correlation values in both the script and in design studio for automatic correlation.

I have been assigned to configure Load generator for the load test. Previous project where i worked before, we use to have tools team and they were responsbile for all tools installation and validation.
Some of the things (As stated in step1)i am currently following to configure the load generator and need help/advise from expert to suggest if i am missing any steps.
1)Since there is no load generator machines, i have requested our management team to provide 5 to 6 Laptops/Desktop with good configurations , so that we can install Load generator agents on the machine and use it as LG during our test. Is this correct way to do?
So my question is,
Just by installing the Load genertor agent on those machines would be enough or should we do anyother configurations further?
Do we have do any configurations to connect Conrtoller and LG?
Please advise and advice on detail steps on how to configure load genertor and Controller.

I have downloaded “HP LoadRunner 12.53 Community Edition” for learning purpose. One of my client like to run a small load test with 30 users. I know with this edition we can run 50 users for free. My question is can we use community edition to run a small load test for client project or do we have any license clause around it ?

We are getting error "Failed to initialize:reason timeout" during RTE protocol script test execution in HP ALM 12.20.This is happening after 20-25 users which are able to successfully execute per LG and then the next set of vusers are failing.We have to simulate around 200-300 user load in RTE scripts.
Do we need to do any configuration changes?what should be the workaround?
