I am not able to run/replay the script which i was able to run some days back. It says, Error: Requested desktop size of 1364 x 706, but received desktop size of 0 x 0.

I also get the other error after this,  Error: C interpreter run time error: loginBBS.c (55):  Error -- memory violation : Exception ACCESS_VIOLATION received.

I need some expertise on this.

When executing a TruClient script that performs a click to initiates download that exceeded 30 seconds,  it gave the error 'end event error due to network timeout'.  

Our application does not provide any visual indication when the download completes. Hence, the Wait for Object approach as suggested by the link here does not apply:

I tried to follow the instruction in the link to change the network timeout settings. It does not work.
I am still getting network timeout error after 30 seconds.

Can someone suggest way to increase the network timeout or if there is other way to approach this issue?

Hi,

My AUT doesn't support firefox, chrome browser and only work with IE.

Problem:

When recording business process and clicking to a button (i.e., GENERATE) the application generate a pdf document and a windows dialouge popup to save the document locally.

Recording is fine upto the clicking on GENERATE button but web trueclient doesn't record anything relate to window dialouge related action?

Please can some one please suggest  me what's wrong here ?

I have exported a load test result from Analysis in excel format.

But the extracted Analysis Report contains no Transaction Response Time data.

1)I am trying tor record SAP application and when i try to launch the app URl through Vugen, it either take long time to open the login page or get struck without proceeding further.

2)If i am able to record the script sucessfully, when i replay the script it get struck at intial step and gets timeout after 120 sec's, I tried to increase the time out, but no luck.

When i open the application URL manually, its displays login page without any delay.

Any suggestion on how to fix this?

I am using LR 12.53 path 4.

How can I go back to a step when I am using Truclient web protocol?

For Example: If I am on Step No. 8 and this step checks if some object exits, and if it does it goes back to step No. 2

I am getting the following error while running trueClient script in performance center 12.5. This error is not seen while ruuning script in Vugen:

Vugen- LR v.12.5

Protocol- TrueClient Web Protocol, Chromium browser

Application tested- Just login and logout part of internal application.

User_id's used for all vusers is same. The error is not consistent for a specified step. Some Vuser are running without giving any error at all . Kindly help me resolve the issue.

Hi all,

during replay a web application in HTML-mode with option "download non-HTML resources" on i get lot of http-400 errors for html and non-html content. Looking at the source code of the site i found the header tag

<BASE href="./">

vUGen tries to download resources (even html and non-html) with the URL

http://server.domain.tld./content.html

Cause for the 404-errors seems to be the "." after tld.

It is neccessary for the script to download content dynamically, URL-Mode is not an option.

Does someone here facing the same problem?

Any suggestions to work with the malformed html-header (i.e. web_add_header)?

I'm getting in contact with the streaming feature the first time and I tried to test 2 examples.

1) URL = https://www.w3schools.com/html/mov_bbb.mp4

2) URL = https://www.w3schools.com/html/movie.mp4

The seconds one is working just fine. The first one keeps producing following error:

and

What is this output about? I get "web_stream_open was successful" but I'm not sure if it is really streaming ...

Hi everyone!

Here's the deal:

- We have a Report Template named "CustomReportTemplate" (created in Reports -> Reports Templates...) and an Analysis Template called MyTemplate (created in Tools -> Templates).

- CustomReportTemplate is called by MyTemplate in order to generate an automatic rich report (we just want an Excel document). When applying MyTemplate to the .lrr file that has been open (click on Apply to Session), an .lra Analysis Session is automatically generated and saved, and the Rich Report is also generated with it.

- Using these templates, we want to automate the opening of a .lrr file, the application of MyTemplate to it, and thus the generation of a .lra session AND of a Rich Report - the latter being ultimately what we want to retrieve. We ticked the Automatically Save Session and Automatically Close Analysis after Saving Session boxes for a complete automation.

- We have found a Windows Command line that could potentially work:

C:\HP\Analysis\bin\AnalysisUI.exe -resultpath <complete .lrr filepath> -TemplateName MyTemplate

Using this command, the .lrr is open, the template is applied, the session (.lra) is created and saved, but the Rich Report is not generated.

- But if I do everything above manually (open the .lrr file then apply MyTemplate), it creates a Session but still no Rich Report. On the other hand, when I apply MyTemplate a second time to the session, it works! The Rich Report file is generated in the Session folder.

- So I tried a second batch opening the .lra file and applying MyTemplate:

C:\HP\Analysis\bin\AnalysisUI.exe -resultpath <complete .lra filepath> -TemplateName MyTemplate

But it doesn't work... the session is opened but no template is applied.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Of course, if some details are missing, please let me know! :)

I'm on Analysis 12.53, no patch installed (maybe an existing patch that I don't know of could help....)

Given the timings below, the transaction response time will be computed as 1.963 - 1.7050 - 0.002 which is 256 ms

This does not seem correct since the time that it takes for Waiting for the Load indicator to begin then dissappear is 30999-30121 which is 878ms.

So I would expect the transaction response time to be around 878ms. Are the wait for load indicator consider as wasted time?

I am using VuGen to connect to a DB2 AIX database and run a query with  "lr_db_executeSQLStatement" the results are stored in a dataset   "DatasetName=MyDataset", then I disconnect from the DB2 and start extracting the data from the dataset with " lr_db_getvalue" as described next:

 lr_db_getvalue("StepName=GetValue",
    "DatasetName=MyDataset", 
    "Column=BIRTH_DT", 
    "OutParam=MyOutputParam5",
    "Row={next}",     
    LAST );

The problem is, the Birthday informaiton is been printed in log and output file as "dd/mm/YYYY 12:00:00 AM" instead of "YYYY/mm/dd" format and without timestamp, if I run the same query in TOAD, AIX or DataStudio the output is "1960-02-10" but for some reason seems VuGen is changing the format to "2/10/1960 12:00:00 AM".

On  my AUT we have MAP Overylay system where user can add locations on the map. I can perform this activity manually and its working fine manually. how ever when recording the same vias loadrunner web truclient protocol then nothing is getting recorded related to MAP Overlay transactions?

Does trueclient support MAP specific transaction ?
