Can the LoadRunner 11.52 Tutorial be used for recording other Web applications or is it specifically designed for the Web Tours tutorial application that it references?

 

Below are some minor areas I found while running the tutorial:

Page 11 - "Where ..." change "has" to "have",

Page 36 - 4) In step navigator: My script shows Submit_Form: not, Submit_Data:

Page 45 - 6) Save is not available

Page 49 - In Scenario pane, Groups is not shown, only Scripts

Page 55 - I tried to replace the name basic_script with travel_agent group but could not

Page 59  - Windows 7 is not a selectable option, so I used Vista

Hi mates,

 

I installed LoadRunner 11.50 version in my system.

 

I created a script using VuGen and it is working fine.

 

When I am executing the script as a scenario in Controller, Senario Status is showing Passed Transactions are 0.

 

I am facing the same issue for all scenarios.

 

Is there any setting/configuration to figure this issue out. Please do me a needful.

Hello,

 

A simple one. When my transaction fails in TruClient, I'd like to exit that iteration by using Javascript.

 

According to the help documentation, the syntax is function lr.exit (continuation_option, exit_status). This doesn't work.

 

What is the syntax to exit an iteration using Javascript?

Hi

 

I am trying to use Truclient–Ajax–IE for the first time.

 

During recording of an application I get these security warnings. "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely". On these I press “No”. When I do the replay the same warning appears. How do I get rid of these, I cannot find the proper setting.

 

When I run application outside vugen, these warnings does not occur

 

vugen 11.52, IE9 (using a proxy)

Hi

During analysis, I am looking at the raw data for "Time to First Buffer Breakdown (Over Time)"

I found rows with:

'Component Server Time = 0

'Component First Buffer Time = 0,041

'Component Network Time = 0,041

'Component Response Time = 0,041

 

I found this very hard to believe, as the calls to another server. Can anybody explain how the server/network ratio is calculated?

I have got data from view source like this:

I need to extract 39 from above code, I used </BR> and also used "Number of" as RB below function still I am not able to takeout 39, can anyone comment on this

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to record a 64 bit .NET windows based, thick client application using LR 11.52. The application is on a Windows 2008 server machine currently.  It's an initiative project and don't know which protocol to use, so I tried Protocol advisor. But Protocol advisor didn't work since it is a 64 bit application. I was told by the developer that the communication between the client and the app server happens through TCP/IP and a normal oracle client to connect with the database. Can someone please help me in figuring out which protocol might work.

Hi there,

 

I'd like to get my data for my test from a web service by doing an XMLHttpRequest call. 

 

This doesn't seem to exist within the realms of the "Evaluate Javascript" or JS-functions features within TruClient.

 

Can I ask how to get data / information to use later in the script from another web service?

Hi,

 

To replay my web custom request i have imported client certificate on IE and I have done the following steps to run the script

 

1. imported to my IE browser

2. Converted .pfx certificate to PEM format to support vugen

and uploaded to script folder

 

it is working on Vugen v11.03 but not on Vugen v9.52.

 

Can anyone help me in fixing this issue - why it is not working v9.52

 

I am using IE 7

I have managed to get the license key; so that isnt the issue.

 

On the server I’m going to install this update; I have put as the Host name in the license;

 

I also have to install this on 7 client machines. Would the same license be used or would I have to do this activation process again for those machines?

When I tested my applications performance in Load runner I get access violation.The Load runner just reports that there is a access violation. But I don't know where it is happening,so I tried to reproduce it simulating load runner by creating a multi threaded program and get the stack trace in Windbg, but the access violation is not happening in it. So now I am stuck here. Load runner experts can you suggest how to debug this access violation?Thanks for the help

Which mode is best to truly emulate multiple concurrent testers running Web applications to test an application/database server's system resources performance load; Processors or Threading?

 

I believe in the real world the actual physical users run their Web applications as processors on the computer.

I analyzed a test this morning after a fresh install of Analysis 11.52 w/ Analysis SA Service Pack and Patch 1.

 

when I loaded my test results, my summary page does not list the transactions (min/avg/max/percentile/pass/fail...)

 

I even tried loading the template we use to analyze this particular test -- no fix.

 

I don't see any options in tools->options, View or right clicking on the page.

 

Please advise, as this summary is where we get our comparative data and piecemealing it otherwise is not a favorable option.

Hi there,

We are having a requirement to test an application on IE9.Since its not supported on windows server 2003 OS, we are now in need to upgrade it to windows server 2008. LR version is 11.04.

We have the below queries in this regard:

a) When we do the above upgrade, can the licensing key currently used can be used again? If not, what is the procedure to get this covered?

b) Will this affect the controller integration with Sitescope server(which is on a 2003 machine) in anyway?

c) Any other dependencies that we have to look out for?

There is one link have IP connection status and after refresh this link I get new values of IPs on same page, so below function I used twice and page is get refreshed, now I want only refresh time difference in first web_browser and second web_browser, is there is any function which give me page refresh time in below case ? web_browser("{pageExt}", DESCRIPTION, ACTION, "Navigate=http://{links}", LAST); lr_think_time(14); web_browser("{pageExt}", DESCRIPTION, ACTION, "Navigate=http://{links}", LAST);

Hi,

 

I have got a .pcap file captured from wireshark. when i try to use the Analyze Traffice and import the .pcap and provide the .key file. It is not converting into VGen script, it is showing blank.

Hello Guys,

 

LR version 11.50

Service Pack: SP2

 

Some times when I click on the Raw Data on the Analysis, It says "No Raw data available".

When I escalate a ticket with HP, they asked me to Install SP@ Patch1.

 

After I installed the Patch1, Controller design messed up, so as HP said, I uninstalled it.

 

Now I stand on same 1st situation again.

 

Please  advise!
