My main question is that;
is Loadrunner v11 support Siebel v8.1.1.11?

Problems with License at executing LR Controller (V12)
Hello,
I´m getting some problems executing LR Controller.
Downloaded the product (CE) yesterday and while VU Generator and Analysis are fine, Controller warns me with a "No valid license" message popup (even executing as admin)
I´m looking for some guidance about this problem to proceed with the use of LR.

Runtime metrics not showing and getting - Files transfer error: .map does not exist.
Hello guys,
I am facing an issue while executing load tests from a Controller v9.52.
During runtime, after 5 minutes from the scenario start, I see that the Hits/sec and Throughput graphs are coming down to'zero'. As alarming as it is, on checking with App logs, I see that its still showing the users/load (contrary to what I see on my LR screen). After the test is stopped, suddenly a couple of error pop up in the 'Errors' tab which says -
Files transfer error: The file/directory c:\tmp\brr_YAR.719\netdir\f\<Scenario Group name>\<Results dir name>1\<Load generator name>_2.map does not exist.
However, On generating the analysis report, I see that the Hits/Throughput or Response time graphs do not show any dips (as it was on the Controller page). Attached screenshots.
This is really creating issues as I execute the tests in sync/on screen share sessions with clients/other teams.
Controller version - v9.52
Load generator version - v9.50
# of Users - 1000
(Failing at ~300 Users/5 mins though)
# of LG's - 15
Script - Web (HTTP/HTML)
This was working last week, but I am running into issues today. Nothing has been changed since the last run.

TruClient IE protocol scripts working in VuGen but not in ALM PC 11
Hi Experts,
I am facing very strange issue. I have developed scripts in VuGen 11.52 with TruClient IE protocol. The scripts working fine in VuGen without any error.
Now when I try running the same scripts in ALM Performance Center 11, it would throw below error even without running it.
" Error(-81049) : LR_VUG : cannot open LRP file for type 'WebIE'
Error : The user files were not transferred to the local load generator "
I have installed below versions & patches of VuGen.
Version : VuGen 11.5
Patches : LRVUG_00033(ServicePack2), LRVUG_00048(Patch1), LRVUG_00106(Patch3)
We are using ALM PC 11 verion, so first I have tried on LGs with version 11.
So below are some of the troubleshooting steps I already tried.
1. Installed LG 11.5 with patches LRLG_00026(ServicePack2), LRLG_00028(patch1), and tried rerun the test on ALM PC11, but still failed
2. Verified the temp directory path of LGs are very short(D:/Temp) and also taken care that the scripts name are shorter.but still failed.
3. Tried with some other web(http/html) protocol scritps on the same LG, its working fine.
So I am not sure why my TruClient IE scritps which are running fine in VuGen but failing in ALM PC.

Need help record Power builder application with Sybase as a Database
I am facing issue in recording Power builder application with Sybase as data base. I tried recording the application with the following protocols, But Load Runner is not capturing the traffic.

- ODBC
- COM/DCOM

LoadRunner script failing with 403 Forbidden Error -- Need Help!!!!!
Hi,
I am having some issues with my loadrunner script created with HP LR 11.04 using web http/html protocol.
I can record the script using firefox as the application does not work with IE9.When I record the script I see pop-up messages for certificate and click ok and continue.
I can record the script successfully. But when I run the script playback, I receive Error 403 Forbidden.
I have added the following headers as well:
Pragma, Cache Control, Accept, RequestVerficationToken, Accept.
THe script runs fine and logs in. After login the script fails with the message --
Error -26628: HTTP Status-Code=403 (Forbidden)
I also tried with AjaxTruClient and I can record up to login and after that I see a red lock with some certificate message -- Cannot verify this certiciate because it is not trusted. Anyone can let me know what to do???
Please if anyone can let me know how we can resolve this issue would really appreciate it.

Loadrunner Controller Server measurements
We have several scenarios in various projects which collect measurements from many servers.
The issue we are experiencing is when servers are located 'across the pond'
For example - A scenario using a UK based Controller which collects measurements from UK based servers will load quickly and the measurement graphs display within a short period of time.
The very same scenario used from a US based Controller takes an eternity to find the UK servers, in many cases failing to find certain measurements. I have tested this with just three servers and taking three measurements from each.
A similar test using US Controller accessing US Serves took 20 seconds to load and display.
Same US Controller but accessing similar UK servers took over 5 minutes.
For a typical scenario that requires many measurements from several servers this is taking well over an hour, and often freezes corrupting the scenario!
We have tested the network between US and UK and found no issues. A simple remote from a US to UK server works fine (and vice versa)
Any thoughts on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Abnormal Termination, caused by mdrv process termination
Regularly have an issue with this error occuring on a particular script within a scenario . I have tried using different Load Generator but still get this issue where out of 50 users I may get 10, or 20, or 30 failures with this error. Sometimes I get no failures! So this is very inconsistent and unpredictable. There is no error code and no clue as to when this is happening.
Please advise!

Unable to record Hyperion application with Vugen on IE 10 browser.
While recording, events get generated when the home page loads and beyond this no events are loaded.
Not sure if some has experienced this issue before. Is there a patch around to fix the issue.

Loadrunner 12.01 and Truclient Ajax - High CPU
Hi,
I ran a 4 VU test (to verify script) using the Truclient Ajax for Firefox protocol. I noticed errors relating to High CPU (> 80%) usage on the controller/injector (all in one).
My machine I am using is a VDI - Win 7, 4 GB Memory, CPU 2.2 GHz.
Is the recommend option to use the new "Convert" function that comes with LR 12.01 to get more users on? I tried the convert function and it does generate a HTTP script for me but found some bits missing in generated code (i.e. the whole logout bit was missing).
Any advice?

LR Unable to Record some of SAP GUI actions like shell components
Hi
LR is unable to record some of the actions on shell components of SAP GUI screen. Is there any method to record or get IDs for those shell components. I tried SAP Spy ++ to capture the ID but no luck with it. SAP Spy shows the total table frame as one shell component. Please provide any suggestions.

Seems like lsass.exe process is hugely affecting measured responsetimes in PC
Hello,
I am running into the following problem:
I have Tomcat application server which I am trying to test under load.
The application is a portal mostly with organizational news, blogs etc. It also has a Content Management System
The application server portal requires windows AD authentication, the CMS does not.
The web portal is approached by 126 running Vusers. I tweaked the http/html script to perform AD authentication, and it is working. There are126 unique AD accounts which are running as individual Vusers. I have set the runtime settings to "simulate a new user each iteration" and "clear cache each iteration". Each iteration takes on average 45 seconds to complete.
The problem now is that the response times measured by Performance Center (version 11.52 patch 1) are way higher then expected and also a lot higher then what I measure when the webpage is visited manually (during load, so when the test is running). For instance when I hit the homepage PC tells me that the average is 9 seconds to load the page while visiting the same page manually for a number of times shows that it is certainly not above 1 second. I think I discovered what causes the mismatch:
while running the test I noticed that the load per LG is actually quite high: 16% while there are only on average 64 Vusers running per LG (I have 2 LG's operational during this test). Of these 64 Vusers 63 are running the http/html script which I
described above and 1 Vuser is running a TruClient FF script which is testing the backend content management system of the same application server. The TruClient script does NOT use AD athentication.
When accessing performance tab of the windows taskmanager I noticed that the windows lsass.exe process (Local Security Authority process) is responsible for 12-13% of the total load. Taking into account that the LG's are actually 8 core machines, this probably means that lsass.exe completely utilizes one whole CPU core. This seems like a bad thing to me.
I think this is what is causing the high values of responsetimes: the exessive CPU load of lsass.exe affects the time measurement of response times.
I executed another test: I reduced the number of AD user accounts to just one and that single account is reused for each Vuser on each iteration. Left the runtime settings the same as described above. The application server itself is fine with this and has no problem if the same AD users approaches the server again and again. What I see on the LG now is an average CPU load of 8% which is way lower then in the previous test. The lsass.exe process is on average responsible for 3% of the total CPU load on the LG. When I look at the measured response time of the access to the homepage it is on average 0.7 seconds and this matches my experience when I approach the homepage manually via a browser.
So my questions:
1. Am I right with my conclusion that the high load of the lsass.exe process negatively affect the response time measurements? Or is the cause something else?
2. What can be done about this? Using more LG's to spread the load?
I hope somebody can help me with this.

LoadRunner 11.0- Generating "EXTRARES" content manually

I have recorded performance scenario in SharePoint web site using the loadrunner 11.0 using Web(Http/Html) protocol
The scenario steps for the Create user is as below.
1. Logging to the system
2. Navigate create user Page
3. Search and select User work ID
4. Validate user Email.
5. Create User
6. Logout
Recording can be done without any issue. But when recording transaction 3 and 4, loadrunner recording agent indicate request being captured. Also relevant requests are showing under the transactions in the recording log.
But those requests are not generated under the relevant transactions in the script. Instead of that, they are showing under "EXTRARES" in the "Navigate to Create User Page" transaction.(The requests recording under "EXTRARES" are for .svc and js contents)

- HTML-based script > a script describing user actions > record with the current script step (NON_HTML elements)

- Why those request are recording under "EXTRARES" even I have do search and select functionality under transaction "Search and select User work ID" ?
(Even though those are resource files, call them under relevant transactions)
2. When giving the performance results I have to give separate transaction response times for step 1 to step 6 as above
According to the above content response time for "Search and select User work ID" will also added under "Navigate create user Page" transaction

All the requests generated under EXTRARES now generated as “web_custom_requests” under Web_Concurrent groups. But also under "Navigate create user Page" transaction.
Then I tried to manually add the following web_custom_request from “web_concurrent_start/end” in to the Transaction 3 (accordingly for transaction 4). But in the runtime manually added request didn’t work.

HP Performance center: Failed to collect statistics from Controller - internal error

Problems with recording scripts in Loadrunner 12.01
Hi,
I have a fresh install of loadrunner 12.01 on my server running Windows server 2008 enterprise (6.0.6002 SP2)
When I open VUgen and try to record a HTTP script (as per the product demo) I get a series of four errors:
"Could not load api_inspector.dll."
"Cannot initialize the "multi" inspector."
"Cannot initialize the "api_inspector.dll" inspector."
"Initialize recorder failed"
Does anyone know what is causing this or how I can fix it to record scripts?
