Hi All,

 

I am working on Hyperion FR reports (version 11.1.2.3 ) using load runner 11.5. The issue I am facing is with respect to a dynamic value "sso_token" that needs to be correlated. This "sso_token" is being passed in HTML mode in some requests and URL mode in others.

I have captured the dynamic values using the below syntax:

 

web_reg_save_param("ssotoken_noencod", "LB=<token><![CDATA[", "RB=]]></token><user", LAST);
web_reg_save_param("C_ssotoken1", "LB=<token><![CDATA[", "RB=]]></token><user", "CONVERT=HTML_TO_URL", LAST);

 

In the web_submit_data request, the parameter substitution in the replay logs shows the HTML value substituted for "ssotoken_noencod" which is as expected. However, advance trace shows that the URL value is passed in the actual request that gets submitted.

I have worked on earlier versions of LR and Hyperion, but we never faced issue of this sort. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance

Hi Guys,

 

Good day!

Could you please help me below:

 

Item1 (refer to : item1.jpeg)

a. What does this mean? >> Layers breakdown of the URL
b. column called “Count” << This is a count of what?
c. T column called  “Total” << This is total of what?

Item 2 (refer to: item2.jpeg)

a.       Resource Consuming means? What resource are we talking about? >> Does it consume RAM? CPU? 

b.      What does it mean to have a "count" column, but the total, min and max have value zeroes?

 

Item3 (refer to: item3.jpeg)

a. What is that Average Size column for?

b. Again, a count column. Count of what?

The application I am trying to create LoadRunner scripts for has two different types of correlation variables occuring at the same place with same boundary. Both of them are occuring multiple times in multiple lines as follows:

 

Group-A:

<OPTION Row="318" VALUE="5187">5187 - abc</OPTION>
<OPTION Row="319" VALUE="5370">5370 - xyz</OPTION>
<OPTION Row="320" VALUE="5372">5372 - efg</OPTION>
<OPTION Row="321" VALUE="5378">5378 - jkl</OPTION>

upto 20...

 

 

Group-B:

<OPTION Row="318" VALUE="Boy">Boy - abc</OPTION>
<OPTION Row="319" VALUE="Cat">Cat - xyz</OPTION>
<OPTION Row="320" VALUE="Dog">Dog - efg</OPTION>
<OPTION Row="321" VALUE="Cow">Cow - jkl</OPTION>

20 upto 40...

 

I want to use ORD=ALL to capture the numbers 5187, 5370, 5372, 5378 from group A, but since the boundaries are same for the both groups, I am trying to use the following with two different varaiable i and j respectively:

But when I replay the script, the following occurs in the response:

 

Error -27289: Unrecognized value ("i") for the "Ord" argument (number 4), 

 

Can anybody please guide me on how to overcome this? Are there any other approaches you suggest?

 

Also, once these values are captured, in subsequent requests, I want to pass them as comma separted such as: abc,xyz,efg,jkl

 

Any suggestion on how to pass them all as such a comma separated line?

Hi,

 

I have downloaded the latest version of HP LoadRunner to see if it can work with Oracle forms but so far I am getting nowhere. For the recording I have enabled the Oracle protocols (Oracle NCA, Oracle Web 11i, Oracle - 2 Tier) but it never picks up anything relating to the applet. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any guidance please? I'm using JRE 1.7, WebLogic 11g, IE10 and HP LoadRunner 12.01

Hi all,

 

i have a script made on vugen v11.52 ,controller v11.52 and 4 load generators v12.01.

 

I tried to run on controller but it failed, giving me the message:

Error Code: 84816

Sample Message Text: The Vuser script can not run on this load generator platform.

 

The generator has to be the same version than controller? Or is this something else?

Hi, 

 

I'm trying to create a Citrix script using Citrix/ICA protocol. I'm successful in creating a script AS IS and I'm also able to replay successfully however based on the recommendation from HP, I asked my administrator to install the "SetupCitrixAgent64" available inside the 'Agent for Citrix Server' in the LoadRunner installation directory. 

 

After the install, I've tried recording the script but have not been successful when trying to capture using the recording toolbar the "sync_on_text", after which the Citrix session just hangs (the screen doesn't render itself correctly either). When I try recording without using the "sync_on_text" feature on the toolbar, I'm able to record the session intermittently (some of the times the Citrix just hangs otherwise). 

 

I raised a ticket with HP Support - the support engineer asked me to disable DEP and asked me to install the 11.50 patch. I've tried both without any luck yet. If anyone has faced a similar scenario and can advise how to avoid the issue, I'd appreciate it.. Also please suggest if we do not use the sync_on_text function, what other ways do we have to enable verification checkpoints in the script (I understand the 'sync_on_bitmap' is generally not recommended). 

 

I'm using LR 11.52 and Citrix server version is 6.5

Hi,

I am using LR 11.5 installed in 4GB RAM and it is a 32 bit machine. Observed below things when trying to exceute a test with Ajax Truclient script even with 1 user.

 

1. Unable to run the test for longer duration

2. Abnormal termination of mdrv process and observed mdrv process taking High Memory utilization during testing.

3. Observed same thing when testing using different load generators other than loacl host.


What is the rout cause for this abnormal termination and high memory utilization of mdrv process?.

 Is there any patch released to fix this issue?


Plese suggest solution for this problem.

I have a Controller that last week worked with the 2 LGs I have.  Now I get failure message when i try to connect to either.

On both LGs I can see the HP LoadRunner Agent Process running. Both LGs and the Controller are Windows running 12.01.

 

The LGs hav different message in LoadGenerator Info details

 

LG 1 Failed:

"Failed to connect to the load generator.Check the output window for more details"

 

LG 2 Failed:

 :Failed to connect to the agent.

Load Generator not responding after timeout
Command line that was executed:

In the application, script has a backslash generated by javascript which means it escapes by another backslash (\\) and so has  two backslashes and loadrunner is considering it as two backslashes. This is through web http protocol, 11.52 version, IE 8  and 9.

In the above replay logs there is an extra %5C (at the end of the string %5C%5C%7C )which is causing the response to fail

    I have a string called in my response

I wrote Regular expression like TD svrVal =\"([0-9]*)\"",now its returing value "1234",but i want to extract second value(1234567890).Please help me how to do it.

Hello everyone,

 

I am using a set of templates for a particular project when preparing information for a report in the Analysis tool. Every time I apply a template to the test result data I see that the file details on the Analysis Summary page are blank. The summary page is loaded correctly when I first point to the result data, but are gone once the template is applied. These are the details that are removed:

 

- Project Name:

- Test Name:

- Test Description

- Run Time:

 

Everything esle is present and the template works across all the other graphs I have configured. Just those elements from the Summary page get removed. I don't see any setting in the Tools > Templates configuration window that would address this.

 

I am using LoadRunner and Analysis ver 11.52, build 5113.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this behavior? Thanks!

In my application when ever you use some functionality a loading bar appears. In Tru Client I want to end the step whever this loading bar dissappears.

 

i.e. I want to implement  "Wait For object not found"

 

how can i achive this.

I am a newbie and using auto-correlation in Loadrunner-Siebel. I am getting the below error:

 

Action.c(101): Error -26377: No match found for the requested parameter "Siebel_SWEVLC". Check whether the requested boundaries exist in the response data. Also, if the data you want to save exceeds 1024 bytes, use web_set_max_html_param_len to increase the parameter size [MsgId: MERR-26377]

I am facing issue when saving my script i get this error message" Failed to create a directory for a new Vuser script. However, i was able to create other vugen scripts except for one Url. Would like to know why i am not able and what is the real cause of this ?

Also, when saving a script in vugen it takes lot of times and gets stuck , at the end i get an error saying that the program is busy and cant take actions with 3 buttons to click, retry , switch and cancel.

How to fix this and what is the issue?

Is it because of 2 multiple instances trying to access the same resource or because of DEP?

Problem Statement: "We need to pass xml & image over a MQ using LoadRunner script"

 

The application we are testing from performance percpective needs the MQ input to be combination of xml & image.

We sorted out the xml part. Don't know how can we pass '.tiff' image to MQ using LoadRunner script.

I've inherited a bunch of Web/HTTP scripts that have a fair amount of custom C files.  The script is blowing up (somewhere) and I'm trying to debug, with the new VuGen 12 UI.

 

Q#1: single-step seems to always step *into* the C function.  How to I make it step *over* the function?

 

Q#2: the "Soluton Explorer" on the left hand side only sows one .h file, and none of the .C files.  How do I make it display a list of the .C files associated with this particular VuGen script?

 

 

Q#3: when I encounter a line in the VuGen script that's a call to one of the custom C functions, how can I pull up the corresponding .C src file?

I understand that if customer buys GUI vuser, they will need to provide a locking code of the UFT seat in order to activate the LR protocol.

 

 

 

Cna you advise if customer already has a UFT CC can they use the locking code of the license server to activate the key?

 

 

 

Is there a direct link to the keys of the UFT in order to run the GUI vuser or is it more of a process to activate the LR license?
