When we used TruClient For IE to record my application, this script would be replayed  as well.

But when we move it into controller and run it on each remote host, controller's console would show me message below.

t=00004307ms: Error -205177:  IPC connection to browser process is lost    [MsgId: MERR-205177]

 

My environment:

Controller:

 

Windows 2012 R2

Loadrunner 12.0.2

Windows firewall : domain: off

 

load generator:

 

Window 2008 R2

Windows firewall : domain: off

 

 

Could you tell me how to fix this issue?

I am using loadrunner 12.02 - truclient for IE - on a set of virtual machines. All machines are hosted on an ESXi 5.5 (tested with E1000 and VMXnet3 interfaces). Load generator: Windows 2012 R2 (also tried with Windows 2008 R2) Web server: Windows 2012 R2 The testing scenario is pretty simple - 4 users login and start to execute a set of steps (loading submissions and submitting them). However, on every test-run, after 2-15 minutes of running at least one of the threads gets "IPC connection to browser process is lost" and stops. In the resource monitor I can see that 2 threads of loadrunner have entered into deadlock. There is not anti-virus software on any of the servers and IPv6 is disabled as it is famous for triggering strange issues.

I need to test a web application, it uses Turepass for user login authentication, truepass uses a .epf file as the user identifier.

I used "Java over HTTP" protocol when recording the script, VuGen(12.01 and11.52) could record the scripts, but when I replayed it, it errored out at the step:

web_custom_request("AuthenticationServlet") started [MsgId: MMSG-26355]
Error -26631: HTTP Status-Code=400 (Bad Request) for "https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/servlets/AuthenticationServlet" [MsgId: MERR-26631] 

It looks like that the server was expecting the content of the .epf file, but script only provided the path of the .epf file.

 

Does anyone have the similar experience?

Can anyone help me with below mentioned queries about LR:

 

1. Whether it is possible on LR's current version to work through Emulator. If yes which emulator best suits LR?
   
   
2. Backend working of LR: When using controller tool for load generation, does the tool actually hitting the request on server?

       For Example: If I'verecorded a script for login and logout, how exactly it is happening in the background through                controller tool, is it creating multiple instances for the same user or what?

 3.  During replay of script in LR, device's physical connection is needed or not?

 

 4.  Does LR support secured protocols (https)?

 

 5.   Interpretation of result analysis in LR: what the different graphs signify, for example  the Throughput tab under analysis.

Hi Team,

 

I am confused while recording HTTPS url whether to use socket mode on winlet mode or both.

 

i tried to record first in socket mode, while replying the script if its fail then will add web_set_sockets_option("SSL_VERSION","TLS"); below entry and check whether its work or not?

 

If it till not work then i go to winlet mode and check tab in preferences -->advanced-->winlet replay instead of sockets(windows only).

 

Can i know on which condition we have to use one of the obove option as i am only doing this in random mode(if one not work use other).

 

one more observation in winlet mode response time showing is too much high like 15-18 sec instead of 2-3 secs

 

Please suggest.

Hello,

 

I have a question about the effect of "Clear cache on each iteration" on the number of iterations during the test run.  I have a test where I have run several times with this option both enabled and disabled, and for all the tests the iteration count is relatively unchanged.  I would expect that when I have disabled "Clear cache on each iteration", the number of iterations would increase since the client doesn't have to download the image, css, js, etc files after the first iteration - leaving more time during the test to complete more iterations.  This doesn't seem to be the case.

 

Can anyone please explain why?

 

Here are the settings for Browser Cache that I am using:

 

[Enabled]  Simulate broswer cache

     [Enabled]  Cache URLs requiring content (HTMLs)

          [Disabled]  Specify URLs requiring content in addition to HTML pages

     [Disabled]  Check for newer versions of stored pages every visit to the page

[Enabled]  Download non-HTML resources

[Enabled]  Simulate a new user on each iteration

     [Enabled/Disabled]  Clear cache on each iteration

[Disabled]  Simulate prefetch and prerender

Hi,

 

I've done some research on this topic.  Seems like LR 9.5 does not support ajax async call.  Our commpany is still using LR9.5  We have an app that makes ajax calls in async mode, and want to test the app under load.  I'm hoping that there may be a way to make ajax calls in async mode in our VuGen script.

I am new to HP Loadrunner. I created one simple script in VUGen. I executed scripts in VUGen with 10-15 iteration. It works well. However it fails in HP Loadrunner Controller with below error snippets.

I am having a difficult time in capturing a value.  This value may be null and it could have 1 to 10 rows.  I have pasted the source code below. I have  the value I am looking for.  Each row is labeled with a selectedkey input.  In order for me to script this correctly I need to find if any of the selectedkey rows have null values.  I will need to do a loop until all null selectedkey values are populated.  The value could be different  (approved, working, initiated, ...)  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

 

I have a script in TruClient Firefox with VuGen 12.02.

I have many actions in this script, and I want the script to skip to the next action when an error is occuring.

In the runtime settings, we can only set the Action on error to either "Abort script" or "Continue to the next iteration".

With others protocols (like ajax), we can use the function lr_continue_on_error with the setting " LR_ON_ERROR_SKIP_TO_NEXT_ACTION" to bypass this.

So I created a C function calling this, which I call in a "Evaluate C function" step, but it's not working.

Is there any way to set this behavior in TruClient?

I installed the Oracle E-Buisness license via license manager. When I go into VueGen and create a new script, the associated protocols are not avilable. Specifically looking for the Peoplesoft Enterprise protocol.  Ideas?

Hi ,

I using Load runner for a product which is communicating through websocket Protocol. I am new to it. I need some help in making the script functional.

a.  i see the socket value will be different when i record a new script , however if i correlate , it will return a particular value every time i playback.( ws://192.X.X.XX/websockets/58927) .

 

b. I  do see there are cookie values and other dyamic value being captured to   few variables autromatically (" WebSocketReceive0" )  in websocketBuffer.h . these values need correlation ? i am not able to do correlation for these cookie values and dynamic values. Please help .

 

c. Do i need to do any specific settings while recording for  websocket protocol?

Hi All,

 

I am using Truclient protocol to record my script.

 

But the protocol advisor suggested to use "COM/DCOM", I am unable to record using it as my applcaition is a java applcaition, it is suggested to use Java as scripting language.

 

Before proceeding further to get a licensed version  of LR, I want to make sure I am able to record all transactions using LR 12 trial/community version.

 

Is it possible in trial/community version to make "Java" available as a Scripting Language, in addition to the default available "C language".

 

Can anyone please provide me some information regarding this, any help / guidance is highly appreciated.
