Other Virtual machine in ESXi will impact performance of application?
I have intsalled Load runner in Virtual machine and observed that many VM are installed on same ESXi .
And Now I am expericiencing latency and slowness in the machine, Kindly help with below queries.

Downloading a file functionality failing while executing the AJAX Truclient scripts on PC11.0.
I am trying to download a file from the testing application .The script is developed on AJAX TRUClient protocol and browser is Firefox.
This script is working fine standalone .While replaying the script the file gets saved in C:\user\downloads by default, which is acceptable .
But the same is not working over PC(performance center).
How can i incorporate save file to a preffered location in my script.

What is a UNK file?
After running a GUI test script in Virtuel User Generator, Loadrunner has created some files in the directory
C:\Users\dial1\Documents\VuGen\Scripts\Test1\result1\Iteration1
one of the files is named: t2_25_data.UNK
What kind of file is this? It seems to cause problems when I view the test results!
Maybe ALL elements contributed to a given web-site are stored in the "results/iteration" folder when running a GUI test? Is this true? Is there some more detailed documentation available?

What is recorded during execution of a GUI script?
In LoadRunner, Virtual User Generator, I have a simple script that logs in on a web site and makes a very simple request. After the test run has been completed successfully, I can check the results by clicking on "The Test Results".
What data/values/file are stored with each test step? I see the 'image' of the web site under test, but are only images stored or additional information (like scripts from the web sites)?
If so, how/where can I check/review the information being recorded by a LoadRunner script? I did not find anything useful in the User Manual...!

Oracle R12 Forms Data - nca_edit_set
I'm doing Loading testing for Oracle R12 and during run, script is not able to read data from Oracle Forms and giving below error.
Although, the connection gets established .
Please share what needs to be done on this

Not able to record vugen script
I have to record an application which is requesting client side certificate. So I recorded a script with the following options:
socketlevel and winInetlevel in port mapping disable the option "detect SSL version"
I'm able to record the script successfully but when I replay it, I'm getting the below error: Error -27778: [GENERAL_MSG_CAT_SSL_ERROR]connect to host "cuvwa00a0558.ent.wfb.bank.qa" failed: [10054] Connection reset by peer [MsgId: MERR-27778]
So I added a function 'web_set_sockets_option("SSL_VERSION", "TLS");' and verified. This time I started getting the different error:
Error -27769: Cannot set Certificate File "WinINetCert1.pem". File format is probably invalid (should be ASN1 or PEM).
where in we already have .pem file in script folder. please suggest any solution for this.

RDP Sync issue with Server 2012 Windows 8 Style Start Button

I am experiencing sync issues when trying to select the windows 8 style start button when remotely connecting via RDP in to a Server 2012 session.
The tiled view that would be displayed is not displayed and when the sync timesout it asks to replace the sync image with that of a blank background.

No actions being recorded with Virtual User Generator
I am using Virtual User Generator 12.02 to record actions on the Internet Explorer (version 11). When I start the recording, the events counter increases, but when I stop recording, the script stays completely empty!!
In the recordings options I had to disable "Enable auto SSL detection" in order to connect to a web page in the first place (www.google.com for testing).
Not sure if both issues are related - however, how can I use LoadRunner to record web events properly?

How can I extract a value from a WebPage with LoadRunner (VuGen)
Using VuGen Version 12.02, I want to extract a value from a web page. I have recorded some steps to navigate to the web page, log in etc., and then I have a web page from which I need to extract some value.
Just for illustration think of a google search of some word, and the text like "About 826,000 results" given on the next page. I just want to save the information like such into a variable, which I can use in the (C) script.
Is that possible? If so, how to do it?

TruClient IE records browser alert, however can't replay it.
Hello,
I recorded a script in VUGen 11.52 using TruClient IE, there is a browser alert that shows a confirmation, there wasn't problem recording it, but when i replay the script TruClient waits until I manually accept the dialog to continue the script. If i don't click the "Accept" button on the dialog, TruClient waits forever doing nothing.
What can I do to force Vugen to click in the accept button of the dialog alert?

I need help creating rules to insert custom headers before uniquely named submits, such as, "init."
I have a script that I have setup to appease our Worklight with the custom headers our programmers used. The issue is that everytime I test against this webapp, I have to insert the web_add_custom_header stuff before these submits, and there could be a high number or low number of them. The headers are static, just not standard, so I would like to know how I can go about adding these as rules.
So, it would go something like this in my head:

How to configure a seperate load generator on windows for LR12
Hi all,
I am new to LR. Is there anyone here that can point me to good instructions on how to configure LR load generator on a seperate windows host? My goal is to seperate the controller from the load generator host. The instructions in the install documentation isn't sufficient. I have also added all of loadrunner related agents and services to the white list for firewall purposes but i am still unable to connect loadrunner controller to the load generator. Am i missing something else?
Steps done:
Full install of loadrunner and all its components to the second host
Configure agent runtime settings to run as a service
On controller host, add the load generator host name
Now try to connect to the load generatorm
Error msg:
Failed to connect to the agent
Load Generator not responding after timeout

How to add DYNAMIC Header values before Posting the HTTP request to server
Hi,
I have a .net REST API for fetching the data from the database.
It is using JSON to POST the requests.
In the Request Body we pass the required parameters and in Headers we pass the Security token along with other parameters.
This Security Token will change every time for each request, Posted to the server.
I have the DLL which has the logic of generating the security token.
The Problem is -> How can i use this DLL so that, EACH time when i run the script from VUgen, it will ADD the Security token parameter in the HEADERS and After that POST the request body.
It is something like (in simple words) - When we run the VUgen script -> The DLL methods will add the Security Token parameter in the Headers and THEN, the Scripts execution will proceed with this security token and Post the request to server.
Could you please let me know, if it is possible to ADD the security token in the PRE Request ?
Note - VUgen script i have created using the Fiddler's .SAZ file and it contains the web_custom_request() method
I tried some example using lr_load_dll("dllpath") and i see that i am getting the response as "0", which means Vugen script is able to search the dll.
But, i could not find any example/resource, which can help me out in understanding "How to Call the methods inside DLL"
Fyi - this dll is is created using C# lanaguage and in .Net 4.0 framework.
Could you please help me out here ?

Could someone explain about what is the difference b/w 100 percentile and maximum value in LR report.
IMO, 100 percentile value should match with maximum value. But in LR report, it is conflicting. Please clarify.
